Bodega Málaga Virgen

At the end of the 19th century (1885), an entrepreneur and loving man of the world of wines, Salvador Lopez Lopez, began with wines produced in his own cellars, the founding of a winery for the production and elaboration whose fame now extends around the world, as Malaga Wines. Nowadays, the family winery, with more than 140 years of experience, is being directed by the fourth generation and little by little entering the fifth. There are 35 wines currently produced, whose Malaga Virgen is the leading brand and product in the national market and Sol de Malaga internationally.

Bodegas Málaga Virgen offers three types of private visits that require prior reservation. These tours are led by the winery’s guide, who is a Certified Málaga Wine Educator. The visits include a welcome glass, an interpretive tour of the vineyard, a guided tour of the winery, and a tasting among the barrels, with a choice of three options:

The Centennial Tasting

In this tasting, you’ll enjoy our most cherished products, the winery’s liquid history.

• “Tres Leones”, Naturally Sweet Muscat, made from sun-dried grape must.
• Trasañejo wine, sweet or dry, aged for 40 years in century-old oak casks.
• Brandy 1885 Gran Reserva, aged for over 60 years in century-old oak casks.
